With over 4,500 homes planned by 2030, stages in Milldale are being released from the east, off Sidwell Rd, and continue west along the Totara stands to Pine Valley Rd. Stages 4 and onwards then continue north towards the Milldale Town Centre, due for construction after 2025,  and Wainui Road. Milldale North then continues on the opposite side of Wainui Road.
