Milldale’s remaining stages fast-tracked

Master planned before launching in 2019, highlighted areas show Milldale's fast-tracked stages.
We are delighted to announce stage 4C and stages 10-13, which form part of the original Milldale plan change area, have received fast tracked consent approval.
With stages 1-6 already completed and occupied, and stages 7 and 9 under construction, uptake of the wide range of housing options in New Zealand’s most family friendly suburb continues to deliver on high expectations.
The majority of the infrastructure to service all of Milldale is in place with approximately 7,000 residents, including the Retirement Village, benefiting from the numerous upgrades to stormwater, wastewater and transport links and dedicated bus service. Work is also underway on the link to the upgraded Silverdale interchange and Wainui Road.
The new Ahutoetoe primary school is flourishing and planning their expansion in line with Milldale’s growth.
The Milldale Neighbourhood Centre which includes a cafe, eateries, convenience stores, hair dresser and real estate business is servicing the needs of the community well, with a second building under construction to keep up with the growth and demand.
Development of the larger Town Centre is moving forward, with the sale of Lot 1 to a supermarket developer confirmed. The remaining Town Centre Lots have recently been listed for sale with good interest from developers looking to service Milldale and the wider area with retail, food and beverage, convenience, exercise, preschool and medical amenities in line with the further development of the area.
Residents are also enjoy a number of local playgrounds, parks and reserves constructed within the development. Coupled with preservation and enhancement projects aimed at greening urban spaces, with more on the way, Milldale is looking great and really starting to take shape.
As part of the wider Orewa community, Milldale not only benefits from the wonderful amenities the Hibiscus Coast has to offer, the community also contributes to the financial success and growth of the surrounding region.
